Editor,

I am writing to commend the drivers who traverse through the construction zone on Highway 73. I am sure others have had different experiences, but as a resident of Cambridge Grove, I must say that I am very impressed with the courtesy demonstrated on a daily basis.

I enter and exit Cambridge Grove at least twice a day and some days six or eight times. I have never encountered a blocked intersection (as is common on N.C. 150 in Mooresville traffic), and I’m always waved through by the drivers waiting on 73.

Another thing I have noticed is that even with daily changes in which driveways are open people don’t make illegal or unsafe turns. The construction crews also seem to try to keep inconveniences to a minimum.

It will be nice to have this project completed, but it has not been the nightmare that it could have been.

Kudos to the drivers of Lake Norman.
