Editor,

I am totally shocked by the facts in your article concerning the Lake Norman Charter School. Whatever the situation might be with the students involved, the very fact that a student was “detained” for five hours while the school administration refused to call his parents and forced this student to expose himself to the extent necessary to urinate, how is it possible that these people who collect a salary (from a taxpayer-supported charter school) for being such idiots were not summarily arrested for this assault?

Is this to be considered part of “their disciplinary code”?

It will be interesting to see what action the parents of this student take concerning these transgressions on the part of the school administration. I assume you will write a follow-up article.
