Construction begins on middle school Habitat for Humanity project
by Staff Writer
The Middle School Build kicked off Oct. 6 with volunteers from Bailey, Bradley and Alexander middle schools. The schools joined forces last year to raise $71,500 to fund the project. Staff and students from the three schools autographed about 30 pieces of wood that will be used in the home’s construction.
The house, located at 12040 Palomar Drive, Huntersville, will be built in memory of Alice Imnes Shoaf and Edwin Huss Shoaf Sr. It is scheduled to be completed in January.
