DAVIDSON – Davidson Community Players’ the Connie Company is bringing fairy tale characters into one show with its latest youth production of “Into the Woods, JR.” Melissa Ohlman-Roberge will direct the show.



This musical comedy is an adventure that begins as Little Red Riding Hood, Jack, the baker and his wife each reveal their heartfelt wishes as they journey through the woods in pursuit of their dreams. They meet up with character-classics like Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, two princes, and The Witch.

This junior version of Steven Sondheim’s Broadway hit will be performed at Armour Street Theatre, 307 Armour St. in Davidson on Nov. 10, 11 and 17 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., Nov. 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 18 at 4 p.m. The show will last approximately one hour and is recommended for children age 4 and older. It is intended to ease children into their first live theater experience, and most of the actors are youth who live in the area.
