Brenda Bryant Pope

HUNTERSVILLE – Brenda Bryant Pope, 53, died Nov. 19, 2013, at her home.

She was born Dec. 23, 1959, in Williamsburg Ky., to Venus Lamb Bryant and the late Roy Bryant.

Survivors include her sons, Kevin and wife Mary, Russell and wife Jennifer and Kyle; daughter, Jessica; grandchildren, Devin, Nathan, Kelsea and Russell Jaiden; brother, Charlie; and sister, Linda Champion.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Melanie Lee Mullin 

HUNTERSVILLE – Melanie Lee Mullin, 34, died Nov. 18, 2013.

She was born Dec. 18, 1978, in Denver, Colo., to Robert and Doris Gulmatico.

Mullin was a registered nurse at Novant Health Charlotte. She founded Team KCA.

Survivors include her husband, Mike; sister, Christy Gulmatico; grandparents, Shirley and Lyle Giegling; and niece, Riyann Thomas.

Hagan Michael-Lake Hoffmann

CORNELIUS – Hagan Michael-Lake Hoffmann, two months old, died Nov. 18, 2013.

He was born Sept. 13, 2013, in Charlotte, to Justine Michelle Hoffmann.

Survivors include his sister, Hailey; brother, Hunter; and grandparents, John Jr. and Charlotte Hoffmann.

Timmy Lee Payne

HUNTERSVILLE – Timmy Lee Payne, 52, died Nov. 16, 2013.

Survivors include his father, Donald Shook; sister, Sharon Warren and husband, Steve.

Margaret West Lamb

DAVIDSON – Margaret West Lamb, 91, died Nov. 16, 2013.

She was born July 23, 1922, in Cassatt, S.C., to the late James and Laura McGarity West.

Lamb was a retired office manager for Lamb’s Automotive Service and Nationwide Insurance in Guilford College Community. Additionally, she volunteered for Hospice & Pallative Care of Iredell County and Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Larry; brother, James; and sister, Eugenia.

Survivors include her sons, Ernest and John and wife Shawn; daughter-in-law, Marie; and grandchildren, Jason, W. Forrest and Shannon.

Services were held Nov. 20 at New Garden Friends Meeting in Greensboro.

Margaret Lucinda Bell Davis

HUNTERSVILLE – Margaret Lucinda Bell Davis, 103, died Nov. 15, 2013, at her home.

She was born Nov. 2, 1910, in Lancaster County, S.C., to the late Roby Eli Bell and Margaret Bruce Bell.

Davis served as the church organist at Independence Hill Baptist Church for 43 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wilson Davis; son, Carl; brothers, John and Chandler Bell; and grandson, Carl Howell.

Survivors include her son, Silas Terry Davis Sr. and wife Carolyn Skaggs; daughters, Lucinda Bruce Howell and husband Ray and Margaret Carleen Davis; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Nov. 19 at Independence Hill Baptist Church.

Tony Waugh

DAVIDSON – Tony Waugh, 60, died Nov. 14, 2013, after a short battle with cancer.

Waugh was a U.S. Air Force veteran who also served in Charlotte’s Air National Guard. He retired from Cash Register Systems after 20 years of service. He worked at Cornelius Ace Hardware and Car Quest in Huntersville.

Survivors include his mother, Jean Waugh; wife, Susan Teresa Boyd Waugh; and sister, Lori Cruse and husband John; nieces and nephews, Brandon, Brent, Bani and Brook; and great-nieces and nephew, Chase, Brannon, Aiden Bryce Logan and Karman.

Funeral services were held Nov. 17 at James Funeral Home.
