DAVIDSON – The Town of Davidson will introduce its new “buy local” campaign, “Turn Around Shop in Town,” Nov. 30 on Small Business Saturday.

The goal of the yearlong campaign is to encourage citizens to shop in town. They’ll see “Turn Around Shop in Town” window clings in participating businesses. The town will also distribute “Turn Around Shop in Town” car magnets at town hall and town events.

“This initiative benefits our businesses and citizens in a fun, yet tangible way,” said Kim Fleming, economic development manager. “Our hope is that Davidson citizens will recognize that where they shop makes a difference to our local economy.”

Throughout the year, the town will announce promotions via Facebook.

Fleming will award a $25 Davidson Visa gift card to the person who spends the most money in Davidson on Small Business Saturday. Bring receipts Dec. 2 to Davidson Town Hall.

The town is selling Davidson Visa gift cards at town hall in denominations of $25 that can be used at any business in town that accepts Visa.
