DENVER – Dorothy “Dottie” Jones Baker, 86, died Oct. 29, 2013, at her home.

She was born May 24, 1927, in Marion, Ohio, to the late Lewis and Elsie Mae Weaver Jones.

Survivors include her sons, Greg Baker and wife, Patsy of Cornelius, and Larry Baker; brother, Lowell Jones; sister, Janis Nash; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Nov. 2 in Florence, S.C.

Nancy Ball Marshall

HUNTERSVILLE – Nancy Ball Marshall, 61, died Oct. 29, 2013, at Novant Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 15, 1952, in Punxsutawney, Pa., to Teresa Ball and the late Robert Ball.

Marshall worked for Burgess Supply in Huntersville.

Survivors include her mother; husband, Dale; brothers, Robert and Kenneth Ball; and sisters, Lillian Wachob and Anna Silvis.

HUNTERSVILLE – Gerald “Jerry” Seipel, 67, died Oct. 29, 2013, at his home.

He was born Aug. 2, 1946, in Charlotte.

Seipel was a U.S. Navy veteran and an operator for O.L. Parker and Sons Grading.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; and brother, Fuzzy.

Survivors include his brothers, Donnie and wife, Carolyn, and Allen and wife, Cathy.

HUNTERSVILLE – Sandra Mitchell Melton, 63, died Oct. 27, 2013, at Carolina Specialty Hospital in Charlotte.

She was born June 21, 1950, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Ernest Mitchell and Faye Garris Mitchell.

She was preceded in death by her brother, William Mitchell.

Survivors include her sister, Kathy Scercy and husband, Dennis.

MOORESVILLE – Nellie “Lou” Louvine Efird Glenn, 81, died Oct. 26, 2013, at her home.

She was born July 12, 1932, in Albemarle, to the late Jacob Irenus and Nellie Mae Eudy Efird. Glenn retired from First Union Bank after 25 years of service as a consumer loan services manager.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; sons, Chuck and wife, Teresa of Davidson, Kevin and wife, Jennifer, and Terry and wife, Jamie; sisters, Ethlyn Hammond and Kathleen Jackson; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Smith retired from Philip Morris USA with more than 20 years of service.

MOORESVILLE – Donna DeMaso Hulett, 52, died Oct. 23, 2013.

She was born May 6, 1961, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Frank Louis DeMaso and Joan Swanson DeMaso.

Hulett worked at Lightstyles Lighting in Cornelius for 17 years.
