DAVIDSON – Davidson Parks and Recreation will hosts a day trip to Seagrove Pottery, one of the largest communities of potters in the country. The potters have resided in a district of Randolph, Moore and Montgomery counties since the late 1700s due to its abundant local clay.

The group will eat lunch at the Jugtown Café and visit a variety of potters in the area. Requests to see particular artists are encouraged, as there are almost 100 shops to see.

The trip takes place 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Feb. 27. It costs $25 for Davidson residents and $27 for others. Register in advance.
