The Davidson women’s basketball team was eliminated from the Women’s National Invitation Tournament in a 72-60 second-round loss to county rival Charlotte on Sunday at Halton Arena.

 Charlotte pulled away with a 19-8 run in the final six minutes. 

 Davidson finished with a 22-13 record, which included the program’s first postseason victory.

 Charlotte (26-5) advanced to the third round of the WNIT to face the Florida/Winthrop winner.

 Charlotte's Jennifer Hailey scored a game-high 22 points.

 Sophia Aleksandravicius capped her Davidson career with 18 points and five rebounds. The two-time Southern Conference Player of the Year finished with seven school career records, including points (1,878), rebounds (1,143) and blocks (339).
