RALEIGH – WidenI77.org, a citizens group, invites the public, elected officials, public employees and the media to a presentation and debriefing on the group’s recent meetings with state legislators and transportation officials in Raleigh.

Members of WidenI77.Org will meet with legislators in Raleigh on March 27.

The meeting presentation and debriefing will take place at 7 p.m. April 3 at Cornelius Town Hall’s Assembly Room, 21445 Catawba Avenue.

In addition to the responses from leaders in Raleigh, the group will discuss recent developments regarding the state’s proposed plan to widen Interstate 77 with toll lanes.

The group says that, “the presentation will be from a resident’s point of view and promises to be a significant departure from prior presentations by managed lane consultants and NCDOT officials,” according to a press release.

The meeting will include a question and answer session, followed by a citizen’s comment period.
