Julia Ross Teal Smith

HUNTERSVILLE – Funeral Julia Ross Teal Smith, 81, will be held April 13, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 16301 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery.

A reception with the family will also be held April 12 from 507 p.m. at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Drive, Huntersville.

She died April 7.

Smith was born Oct. 30, 1931, in Anson County, to the late Fred and Virginia Ross Teal.

Survivors include her husband, Bruce Henry Smith; sons, Whit Smith of China Grove and Winston Smith and wife, Kim, of Ft. Washington, Pa.; daughter, Ginger Mandujano and husband, Mario, of China Grove; brother, Fred Teal Jr.; grandchildren, Carrie Hamby and husband, Brandon and Gresham, Sydney, Zachary and Charlotte Smith.

Ruth Frame Ferrell

HUNTERSVILLE – Funeral services for Ruth Frame Ferrell, 95, were held April 9, 2013, at Asbury United Methodist Church.

She died April 7 at Levine and Dickson Hospice House.

Ferrell was born April 11, 1917, in Charlotte, to the late William and Martha Yost Frame.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hughes Ferrell.

Survivors include her sons, Evans Ferrell of Indian Trail and Robert Ferrell and wife, Cortha, of Charlotte; daughter, Audrey Spencer and husband, Samuel, of Huntersville; brother, David Frame and wife, Elizabeth; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Thomas Earl Taylor MUG

CORNELIUS – Funeral services for Thomas Earl Taylor, 64, were held April 9, 2013, at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

He died April 6 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. 

Taylor was born May 20, 1948, in Kingsport, Tenn., to the late Earl and Lucille Qualls Taylor.

Taylor was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Taylor.

Patricia Gunter Whitman

CORNELIUS – Funeral services for Patricia Gunter Whitman, 53, will be held April 13, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of James Funeral Home.

Glen Harold Passage

CORNELIUS – Funeral services for Glen Harold Passage, 61, will be held at a later date in Michigan.

He died April 2, 2013, at his home.

Born March 26, 1952, in Grand Rapids, Mich., he was a son of Glen Passage and the late Arlis Kruger Passage.

He was captain for Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation.

Survivors include his wife, Terry C. Tamrya Marie Shields Pagliaro

HUNTERSVILLE – Funeral services for Tamrya Marie Shields Pagliaro, 54, were held April 6, 2013, at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

She died April 1 in her home.

Born Feb. 18, 1959, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., she was a daughter of the late Frederick Carl Shields and Phyllis Joan Lapp Shields. She was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Shields.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Frank Pagliaro; daughter, Brittany Pagliaro; son, Daniel Pagliaro; sisters, Taryn Smith and husband, Jeff, of Indiana and Kristin Campbell and husband, Darrell, of Kentucky; and five nieces.
