CORNELIUS – Funeral services for William Francis Dixon, 81, were held April 15, 2013, at James Funeral Home.

He died April 11 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House.

Dixon was born June 13, 1931, in Worchester, Mass., to the late William J. and Madeline Packard Dixon.

Survivors include his wife Theresa K. Dixon; daughter, Kathleen Braun of Cary; sons, Robert Dixon of Lakeland, Fla. and Bill Dixon and wife, Rose, of Mooresville; brother, Sam Dixon and wife, Ines, of Escondido, Calif.; sister, Nancy Mordacz and husband, Hank, of The Villages, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

Susie Steen Wooten

CORNELIUS – Funeral services for Susie Steen Wooten were held April 17, 2013 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

She died April 11.

A graduate of A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis, Wooten worked in banking, customer service, at Southern Christmas Shows, in event planning and home health care.

Wooten was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Beatrice Steen.

Survivors include her children, Amy Gantt Fairchild and husband, Roger and Woody Wooten Jr. and wife, Ginny; granddaughter, Abigail June Wooten; brother, Allen Steen; sisters, Robin Steen Allison of Clemmons, Barbara A. Campbell and Pennie Lee of Rockwell; nephews, Roger, Michael, Chris, Garrett and Bryan; nieces, Candace and Natalie; and great nephews, Matt and Clayton.

Edward Ruttkamp

HUNTERSVILLE – Funeral services for Edward Ruttkamp were held April 13, 2013, at James Funeral Home.

He died April 10.

Ruttkamp was owner and operator of R & R Landscaping.

Ed was predeceased by his parents, William J. Ruttkamp Sr. and Marylou Ruttkamp-Herold; stepfather, Richard Herold, in-laws, John and Fiona Rawson; and brother in-Law, Robert Drumgold.

Annie Bumgarner Hastings Tillman

HUNTERSVILLE – Funeral services for Annie Bumgarner Hastings Tillman, 87, were held April 12, 2013, at Bethel Presbyterian Church.

She died April 8 at the Huntersville Oaks.

Tillman was born Nov. 18, 1925, in Mecklenburg County, to the late William and Kate Bumgarner.

Her son, Spencer Hastings, and husbands, William Hastings and Dean Tillman, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Vivian Bellew of Mt. Mourne; grandchildren, Susan and Jimmy of Huntersville and Mac of Lucia; stepchildren, Brenda McKinney of Aiken, Janet Morgan of Georgia, Jerry Tillman of Rock Hill and Rick Tillman of Lincolnton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Tommie Ann Mundy Bost

CORNELIUS – Funeral services for Tommie Ann Mundy Bost, 71, were held April 8, 2013, at James Funeral Home.

She died April 7 at Huntersville Oaks.

Bost was born May 29, 1941, in Mooresville, to the late Rueben Flake Mundy and Zella Mae Wagner Mundy. She was a financial secretary for more than 17 years at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Estalene Mundy Sherrill.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Joe K. Bost Sr., children, Kirk Bost of Cornelius, Beth Dove and husband, Steve, of Huntersville and Angela Bost Fletcher of Cornelius; sister, Joan Marie Bustle of Cornelius, NC; and granddaughters, Samantha, Allison, Alexandria, Emmalee, Rylee and Sarah Beth.

Robert Franklin Isenhour

CORNELIUS – Funeral services for Robert Franklin Isenhour, 89, were held April 8, 2013, at James Funeral Home.

He died April 4 at Lake Norman Regional Hospital.

Isenhour was born Nov. 8, 1923, in Bessemer City, to the late Thomas Frank and Mary Best Isenhour.

He served in the U.S. Army Veteran during World War II in the 1st Division of the 16th Infantry at Normandy Beach during D-Day. He was a jeweler, watch maker and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Charlotte.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Singletary Isenhour; brothers, Clarence, Clyde and Gene Isenhour; and sisters, Della Lipford and Edna Isenhour.

Survivors include daughters, Joy Isenhour of Cornelius, Gay Griffin and husband, Jim, of Charlotte and Robbie Isenhour of Mooresville; grandchildren, Angela Griffin and husband, Wes Hodgin, Katie Griffin and Anna Pannebaker and husband, Aaron; and great-grandchildren, Helen Grace and Laurel Elise Hodgin.

Cherie Kay Klenk

DAVIDSON – Funeral services for Cherie Kay Klenk, 66, will be private.

Kaestner was born April 8, 1923, in Norwalk.

Victor Conrad Hall

DAVIDSON – Funeral services for Victor Conrad Hall, 83, were held April 4, 2013, at The Pines.

He died March 26 at Presbyterian Hospital in Huntersville.

Hall was born Oct. 26, 1929, in Elizabeth, N.J., to the late Victor J. and Margaret Smith Hall.

After graduating from Princeton University, Hall spent two years in the U.S. Army and later became an insurance agent, establishing Hall Insurance Associates of Winston-Salem.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Virginia Knoll Hall; children, Douglas, Jeffrey, Cynthia, Kristin and Thomas; sister, Margaret; and eight grandchildren.

Nikki Knight Park

DAVIDSON – Funeral services for Nikki Knight Park, 49, were held March 28, 2013, at James Funeral Home.

She died March 24 at the Huntersville Oaks.

Park was born Aug. 20, 1963, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Hal and the late Ursula Knight.

Survivors include her husband, Gregory Park; brothers, J. Frank and Neal R. Knight; and sister, Crystal Erickson.

Park was in management at various retail stores including Castletons, Victoria’s Secret, NASCAR Thunder and Talbots.

Richard Cargill Cole

DAVIDSON – Funeral services for Richard Cargill Cole, 86, were held March, 26, 2013, at Davidson College Presbyterian Church.

He died March 23.

Cole was born April 16, 1926, in Kansas City, Kan., to Horace Richard Cole and Iris Verner Cargill Cole.

During World War II, Cole served as a cryptographer. Cole’s was an English professor at Davidson College from 1961-1993, specializing in 18th century British literature and culture.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Florence Adaline Mason Cole.

Survivors include his daughter, Celia Elizabeth Cole Shaw and her husband, Colonel Robert Graham Shaw, of Westminister, Md.; and grandchildren, Paul Richard Cole and his wife, Laura, of Chapel Hill, Sarah Lichtenberg, Emily Zeles and Robert and Mason Shaw.
