Public Workshop on April 8, citizen survey available online

DAVIDSON – The Davidson Pedestrian Master Plan Steering Committee and the consultants from Alta Planning + Design are asking citizens to attend a public workshop to discuss goals and objectives, opportunities and barriers, and safety and education for pedestrian and bicycle transportation in Davidson.

While the emphasis of the planning efforts will be on pedestrian mobility, the plan will address other complementary forms of transportation, such as bicycle and transit.

The Davidson Pedestrian Master Plan will become a map to complete the necessary town-wide infrastructure improvements, policies, and programs to make Davidson more walkable and bikeable for its citizens.

A public workshop will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. April 8 in the Davidson town hall board room, 216 South Main Street, Davidson.

There will be no formal presentation, so attend as your schedule permits.

From 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. April 11 and from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. April 12, the consultant team and steering committee will be working in an open studio setting and having meetings with stakeholder focus groups.

Citizens are welcome to drop in to learn about the project and provide input to the steering committee.
