HUNTERSVILLE – Students whooped and hollered as different classes performed different dances from around the world at the concluding celebration of Blythe Elementary’s International Week.
The colorful celebration took place in the school’s cafeteria, which was packed with not only students but family members as well.
The school celebrated its first International Week from March 25-28. Classes worked on projects researching countries from around the world. Students shared their cultural heritage on WBES morning news, international speakers presented students with cultural information, and the cafeteria served international food items through out the week.
The concluding celebration took place March 28 and opened with a Parade of Nations, which was followed by a musical and artistic program.
