SouthLake Christian Academy's opening football game tonight has been forfeited because the opponent - Westminster Catawba Christian - cancelled its season because it didn't have enough players.
The game was slated to be the first at SouthLake's refurbished stadium in Huntersville.
Westminster Catawba, a private school in Rock Hill, S.C., began pre-season practice with 19 players. But injuries reduced the roster to 12, and the school's board of directors voted this week to cancel the season.
