Easter egg hunt, Good Friday, sunrise and other services

Asbury United Methodist will hold a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. April 18.

On April 19, there will be Asbury Cafe where breakfast is made to order for $6 all you can eat. At 10:30 a.m., there will be an Easter egg hunt, bounce house, cookie decorating and other free activities. There will be a Sunrise Service outdoors, weather permitting, at 7 a.m. April 20.  Afterwards, breakfast will be served. Regular service will begin at 11 a.m.

Bethel Presbyterian

Easter Bunny and egg hunt

Bethel Presbyterian will host its annual Rock-N-Roll Easter Egg Hunt 3-4:30 p.m. April 19. The Family Life Center will be rocking with Easter experience stations that include games, crafts, snacks, glow-in-the-dark eggs, and other special surprises for toddlers through fifth grade.  The day’s events will also include a special appearance by the Easter Bunny.

Community In Christ Lutheran

Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter services

Community in Christ Lutheran will hold several Easter services in its new sanctuary.

A Maundy Thursday service will be held at 7 p.m. April 17. Children that attended the First Communion class will receive their First Communion at this service.

A Good Friday service will be at noon and 7 p.m. April 18.

Easter Sunday services will be at 9:30 and 11 a.m.

Cornelius Presbyterian

Maundy Thursday service, egg hunt, and other services

Cornelius Presbyterian will hold a Maundy Thursday Tenebrae service at 7:30 p.m. April 17 with Communion.         

On April 19 at 2 p.m., the church will host its annual Community Easter Egg Hunt for toddlers through elementary school-aged children. This will be on the church grounds. Come meet the Easter Bunny.

On Easter Sunday, there will be a 10:30 a.m. service in the sanctuary.

Davidson College Presbyterian

Footwashing Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and other services

Davidson College Presbyterian Church will offer a Maundy Thursday service with dinner, communion and footwashing at 6:30 p.m. April 17 in the congregation house.  

A Good Friday service will be held at 7:30 p.m. April 18 in the sanctuary.

A Great Vigil of Easter will be held at 7:30 p.m. April 19 in the sanctuary.

And Easter Sunday services will be at 8:30 and 11 a.m. in the sanctuary.

First Baptist Huntersville

Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter services-Spanish and English

First Baptist Church of Huntersville will hold a Maundy Thursday English service at 8 p.m. April 17. 

Good Friday services on April 18 will include a Spanish Tenebrae service in the dining hall at 7 p.m. and an English Tenebrae service in the sanctuary at 8 p.m.

Easter Sunday services will be in English at 9 and 10:30 a.m. and in Spanish at noon.

Independence Hill Baptist

Sunrise and other services

On Easter Sunday, Independence Hill Baptist will have a sunrise service at 7 a.m. in its garden amphitheater. Coffee and snacks will be available afterward in the gym. A traditional service will follow at 8:30 a.m. and a contemporary service at 11 a.m. in the worship center. Small groups/Sunday school will be held at 9:45 a.m.

Lake Forest Church

Good Friday and Easter services

Lake Forest Church will hold a Good Friday service at 6:30 p.m. April 18 at its Huntersville campus.

Easter Sunday Services will be held 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. at the Huntersville campus; 9:30 and 11 a.m. at the Davidson campus; and 9:30 and 11 a.m. at the Westlake campus.

Locations: Huntersville campus, 8519 Gilead Road; Davidson campus, Davidson Elementary school; and Westlake campus, Lincoln Charter Elementary School.

 

St. Phillip Missionary Baptist

Maundy Thursday and Easter egg hunt

St. Phillip Missionary Baptist will hold a Maundy Thursday Service at 7 p.m. April 17. It will be an evening of worship, prayer, communion and reflection on the new commandment Jesus gives us to love one another. At 1 p.m. April 19, the church will hold a community Easter egg hunt. Children should bring a basket to collect eggs.
