RICHMOND – Sprint Cup stars continue to dominate Nationwide Series races, but Elliott Sadler stands a good chance of fending off the likes of Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson for his first win of the season.

Sadler, who drives for Huntersville-based Joe Gibbs Racing, ranks third in the Nationwide standings after three top-five finishes heading into the ToyotaCare 250 on April 25 at Richmond International Speedway.

He has the highest driver rating among Nationwide competitors at the track. In 11 races there, he’s finished eight times in the top 10.

Blake Koch, of Cornelius, has struggled at Richmond. His best finish in five races was 25th and he didn’t finish two of them. Koch has failed to finish in five of this season’s seven races, He ranks 26th in the standings.

Cornelius residents Ryan Reed and Dakoda Armstrong rank third and fourth, respectively, among rookie drivers this season. Neither has finished in the top 10 so far.

Chase Elliott, a rookie driver for Mooresville-based JR Motorsports, leads the series after winning the last two races.
