Race to feature patriotic feel

CONCORD – Charlotte Motor Speedway is planning a large-scale military tribute as part of pre-race activities for the Coca-Cola 600 on May 25.

The speedway will recognize Medal of Honor recipients, allow buses of troops and their families to ride around the track, show off military vehicles along pit road, enlist in seven war birds for an aerial demonstration and unveil a football field-sized flag during the national anthem.
