‘Red’ comes to Warehouse PAC
CORNELIUS – John Logan’s Tony Award-winning “Red” comes to the Warehouse Performing Arts Center this month.
“Red” explores master abstract expressionist Mark Rothko. He landed the biggest commission in the history of modern art.
In the two years that follow, Rothko works feverishly with his young assistant, Ken, in his studio. But when Ken challenges him, Rothko faces the possibility that his achievement could also become his undoing.
The play stars Kevin Roberge and Austin Larkin. Melissa Ohlman-Roberge directs the play.
Performances start at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Aug. 14-Aug. 23. Tickets cost $20 for general admission and $15 for seniors, students and groups.

Conservationists plan wildlife festival
MOORESVILLE – The Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists are planning its sixth annual Lake Norman Wildlife Oyster & Shrimp Fest to benefit its projects.
The event will include music, auction and a meal catered by Big Daddy’s.
The event starts at 6 p.m. Sept. 20 at the new LangTree Lake Norman.
Advance tickets cost $50. Children 12 and younger get in free.
