The Annual Peninsula Poker run, sponsored in part by Aquesta Bank, was once again a smashing success! Poker Runs are NOT races, they are semi-scavenger hunts, and typically involve 5 different pickup locations. At each location a team picks up a "sealed poker card" - then everyone regroups (in this case at the Peninsula Yacht Club) and opens their cards to see who has the best poker hand. The winner held 4 Queens... if you're a poker player, well - you know, that's a tough hand to beat. At the end of the day it's all for a good cause and the proceeds went to benefit Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Lake Norman and Cornelius Davidson Children's development. Photos by Patrick Nicholson.
