The rain didn't stop the crowds from showing up for one of the coolest annual events put on by the Town of Cornelius - Symphony in the Park. Since the event is held on City Property, no glass bottles, containers, no pets, no smoking, and no open flames are the rules - but that only creates an incredible family fun atmosphere. We didn't hang out in the rain long enough to find out if the symphony ever played - but that didn't stop the children and families from having fun playing in the rain. Photos by Patrick Nicholson.
Town leaders recently visited downtown Salisbury to see how art has sparked economic development. The trip comes as leaders determine how they will convince Cornelius residents to approve a $4 million bond referendum on the November ballot aimed at funding an arts and cultural center in downtown.
